The Yfos 2020 from Barafakas Winery is a blend of 45% Kydonitsa, 45% Malvasia, and 10% Gewürztraminer from the PGI Peloponnese. I tasted it as part of a session exploring Greek white blends built around shared grape varieties, and this was easily the most floral wine of the lineup. The Malvasia variety listed on the label is a bit of a puzzle – it might be Malvasia Bianca di Candia, given the Peloponnese origin, but Malvasia terminology always triggers confusion. Regardless, the aromatic lift here is unmistakable, no doubt helped along by the small addition of Gewürztraminer. At 89 points, it's a very good wine and, like the other wines in the tasting, very good value for money at around ten euros.
