Barafakas Winery — Saint Modesto 2021

The rosé Saint Modesto 2021 from Barafakas Winery was tasted as part of a tasting of Agiorgitiko cuvées. In this blend, Grenache Rouge contributes 50%, with the rest being Agiorgitiko. In Greece, rosé wines with Grenache Rouge and more residual sugar rarely appeal to this author, but here the whole package is very harmonious. The wine is very well balanced in both aromatics and structure, shows solid grip, and at 13% is quite full-bodied. A very good 88 points.
