Alpha Estate – Sauvignon Blanc 2020

The entry-level Sauvignon Blanc from Alpha Estate (not to be confused with the oak-aged version from the same winery) delivers exactly what you'd expect from a Sauvignon Blanc. A very appealing nose of exotic fruits, especially lychee. But there are also distinctly floral aromas, particularly poppy and orange blossom. On the palate, the wine presents a pleasant balance of tannins and acidity. An excellent 90 points. The current 2021 vintage is available for around €13.70.
