Ktima Biblia Chora – Plagios White 2020

The Plagios White 2020 from Ktima Biblia Chora, a 100% Chardonnay from PGI Pangeon in Macedonia, held its own in an ambitious Chardonnay line-up that included Chablis Grand Cru Valmur 2020 from William Fèvre, a Markus Molitor Wehlener Klosterberg Selektion Schalenkontakt and – the revelation of the evening – the Stella 2020 from Ktima Katsarou. Its harmony of brioche and citrus reaffirmed the well-deserved 94 points it had earned before. A note for enthusiasts: this wine is close to peaking, so savour it soon rather than cellaring it further.
