Ktima Kir-Yianni – Ramnista 2019

During a comprehensive Xinomavro tasting, the Ramnista 2019 from Kir-Yianni showed surprising signs of aging despite correct storage. Cream and dark cherries on the nose point to malolactic fermentation and are actually quite pleasant. But then the finish disappoints with its rapidly fading flavor. Only 88 points. A counter-bottle would have been welcome here! Ironically, the simpler Cuvée Village from the same vintage turned out to be far more convincing.
