Kotoulas – Golden Trumpet 2020

It's rare to find a blend of 70% Preknadi from the Naoussa region and 30% Malagousia. The latter is mostly known here from blends with Assyrtiko – but here it appears in a completely different constellation, contributing a slightly floral touch. On the nose, however, exotic fruits dominate. The wine has decent acidity but comes across somewhat heavy on the palate. A bit watery in the mid-palate, it lingers somewhat unpleasantly on the tongue. Needs more food, perhaps vegetables, to match that bite. 86 points.
