Juliet & Romeo Wines – Pinot Noir 2020

I like the Greek Pinot Noir wines from Alpha Estate and Ktima Biblia Chora, but they are not very typical expressions of the variety. The Juliet & Romeo Pinot Noir 2020, by contrast, is quite elegant – grown at 650 metres elevation in Mantineia, Arcadia on the Peloponnese, and classified as a Varietal Wine rather than under a PDO or PGI designation (since the PDO Mantinia is reserved exclusively for Moschofilero whites). I am impressed by how well this captures the character of Pinot Noir. It was the perfect choice for goose with red cabbage.
