Juliet & Romeo Wines – Juliet & Romeo 2020

The Juliet & Romeo from PGI Arcadia signals right from its wax seal that it intends to play a notch above the other wines. Its colour practically pushes it into rosé territory, yet compared to typical Moschofilero rosé wines, it clearly sets itself apart. Aromatically, this is the one wine – and the only one in the entire tasting – where red fruits can be detected. Herbs and flowers, though, are sprouting everywhere as well. A crazy wine that, for the moment, still carries a touch too much CO2 to let you fully relax and follow the trails deep into Greek forests. Either way, a magnificent 93 points – if only for its uniqueness and the brilliance of its balancing act.
