The Domaine Economou Oikonomoy 2012, a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot from Crete (PGI Crete, 13.5% alcohol), was quite present right away but also showed more aromas of dry fruits like plum and raisins. I've had this wine in funkier shape in the past – more herbs in particular – and I had liked that a lot because it pairs well with the wine's stronger tannins. Still a great wine, and I especially enjoy the sweetness in the finish. Currently at 93 points, but my impression is that it's sitting in a bit of a valley right now. I've heard the same from others who drink it regularly. It's a bit of a gamble, but at its price it's definitely worth the risk to buy some bottles now and wait one or two years for it to come back around.
