Patsouros Winery – Rigel 2020

With the Rigel from Patsouros Winery – where they consider the difference between Fileri and Moschofilero to be merely one of terroir – the mineral character is pushed to the extreme. This wine couldn't care less about fruit, lets at best a hint of pineapple shine through, and is steel-smooth. A wine for freaks. And those freaks will happily award it far more than the very good 89 points considered appropriate with most consumers in mind.
