Lafazanis Winery – Geometria Malagouzia 2020

The Geometria Malagouzia 2020 from Lafazanis Winery in the PGI Peloponnese was tasted in the spring of 2021 as part of a comparative Malagouzia tasting. It stood out for its pronounced fruitiness, but remained in the shadow of the Malagouzia from Ktima Gerovassiliou: the fruit was more diffuse, less concentrated on peach, the floral notes not entirely absent, and the overall impression not quite as clear. On the palate, the acidity and finish stayed average, with a decent 12% alcohol. A tendency towards a very good 89 points.
