Ktima Biblia Chora — Plagios rot 2012

Sideways

PGI Pangeon
85% Merlot, 15% Agiorgitiko
Macedonia, Greece
Red | dry
15% | Organic

The Plagios rot 2012 from Ktima Biblia Chora – the oldest vintage in this vertical, still with 15% Agiorgitiko alongside the Merlot – was tasted as part of a vertical tasting together with the 2013 and 2014 vintages as well as the single-varietal Etos Merlot 2006 from the same estate. Back in early 2022, it had already scored 93 points at a previous tasting. At the joint tasting a year later, it showed noticeably more pronounced aging notes than the younger vintages, but had not lost any ground compared to the previous year – something that had been considered quite possible. The 93 points are confirmed, and it may well hold this level for a few more years yet.
