Ktima Biblia Chora — Ovilos rot 2020

The red Ovilos from Ktima Biblia Chora, a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the PGI Pangeon appellation in Macedonia, is always a contender for the best Greek Cabernet Sauvignon of the year. This 2020 vintage is no exception. Charming fruit-driven nose, mouthfilling tannins, warming alcohol of 14.5%, high-quality oak, long aftertaste. Four years after harvest, it sits at 93 points. But it will climb and climb. I bet it will reach 96–97 points in five years. Too bad I rarely get to taste an aged Ovilos — they never last long enough in my cellar.
