The legendary Barba Yannis Reserve 2017 from Alpha Estate, PDO Amyndeo, aged 24 months in new French Allier-Jupille oak, doesn't quite reach the level of some earlier vintages, but still impresses with its density, salinity, and rich raspberry notes. It retains the same character as at the first tasting, which points to significant aging potential. That said, let's be honest: the entry-level Hedgehog from the same vintage (93 points) is far less unyielding and delivers considerably more pleasure right now. 90+ points.
