If you want to get to know PDO Mantinia, this wine from Vervenioti Winery is a very successful representative to start with – at around 10 euros. The nose displays the floral notes typical of PDO Mantinia. On the palate, the flavor development is quite complex. There's some residual carbonation, but aromas of dry straw buffer that very nicely. At higher temperatures the extract dominates; well chilled, it's especially the acidity that stands out positively, carrying the wine for a very long time. An excellent 90 points.
