Tsantali – Rapsani Reserve 2000

The 2000 Mount Olymp Reserve from Tsantali, PDO Rapsani, demonstrates remarkable vitality despite its advanced age during a comprehensive Xinomavro exploration. Although it has a slightly lower alcohol level (13% versus 13.5% for the Grand Reserve), it shares surprising aromatic similarities with the 2012 Grand Reserve from the same producer. The tertiary aromas that have developed over its two decades are beautifully integrated into the fabric of the wine. While it has reached its peak and should not be held any longer, it remains remarkably vigorous and well-structured. 90 points.
