Tsantali — Rapsani 2013

The 2013 standard bottling from Tsantali from the PDO Rapsani — a traditional blend of Xinomavro, Krassato and Stavroto from the slopes of Mount Olympus — turned out to be a cautionary tale about storage conditions during a systematic Xinomavro exploration. Purchased on eBay, the bottle was severely flawed. While the cork and color appeared intact, the nose revealed pronounced musty, moldy notes, followed by an unbalanced palate with scattered, disconnected aromas. A burning finish sealed its unfortunate fate. 75 points.
