Tsantali – Mavroudi 2017

Rarely available as a single-varietal wine. Tsantali plays an important role in the revival of this grape variety. Vegetative notes on the nose with very pleasing oak. On the palate: loads of blackberry and blackcurrant, yet with soft tannins, so it never comes across as jammy. The modest 13.5% alcohol does this wine a lot of good. It shows relatively little complexity and tends to fall apart across the phases of the attack. Outstanding value for money. 92 points.
