Semeli Estate — Charisma 2021

PGI Peloponnes
Agiorgitiko, Cabernet Sauvignon
Peloponnese, Greece
Red | dry
13%

Tasted as part of a tasting of Agiorgitiko cuvées, the Charisma from Semeli Estate is a quaffing wine bottled for the Grecotel hotel chain — I tried it on holiday. It's a cuvée of Agiorgitiko and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is deeper in colour, has sufficient alcohol (13%) and noticeable tannins. On top of that, there's a rather lovely sour cherry on the palate. The proportion of Agiorgitiko isn't stated, but it must be substantial, because floral notes are clearly present. This is a good wine at the upper end of the spectrum, so 80 points.
