Pentheas – Moschofilero 2021

This Moschofilero from Pentheas (technically Attika) is easy to get hold of via LIDL and demonstrates how well the character of a grape variety can sometimes be captured even at high volume. Admittedly, the wine pushes the floral notes a bit over the top, and naturally at 11.5% it's missing a few building blocks in its structure. Still, this is without doubt already a very good wine at 84 points. Even in Germany it costs just 4.99 euros. Show me a Pinot Grigio of this quality at this price – I'll wait.
