Patistis — Rodito Active 2020

I am not the biggest fan of the pink variety Roditis when produced as a white wine, but the Patistis Rodito Active 2020 truly shows the potential of this variety as an orange wine. It doesn't get more orange than this bottling, subtitled "Naturally Occurring Material." What a great label! Even the decorative wax capsule makes sense. And the orange fluid inside, which gets its colour from 90 days of skin contact, is also great. It smells of apple pie. On the palate, there is an additional level of caramel, which fits the creamy texture perfectly. But don't leave it open for too long or it will become more demanding and lose some of these strengths. An excellent wine that earns 91 points!
