Mylonas Winery — Naked Truth 2021

The Naked Truth 2021 is a skin-contact Savatiano from Mylonas Winery in Attika, and it is a very interesting wine in that even many people who are not into orange wine will likely enjoy it. Originally meant to be part of a broader Savatiano and Retsina tasting, it more than holds its own as a standalone review. In the nose, the aromas are pure. Mirabelle plums in particular are notable. On the palate, the wine has a nice structure but is not as exceptional with respect to its aromas. The structure becomes especially apparent if tasted in direct comparison to the regular Mylonas Winery Savatiano, which lacks the skin-contact treatment. This is another very good wine from Mylonas, deserving of 89 points.
