Domaine Menexes — Mandilaria 2019

The Mandilaria 2019 from the Cretan estate Menexes shows a robust tobacco character and powerful tannins. The six months of ageing in French oak rounds out the overall picture – a thoroughly excellent introduction to this grape variety, but at 90 points it also reveals the limited potential. Much more than this has so far been hard to find in a single-varietal Mandilaria.
