Tasted as part of a tasting of Agiorgitiko cuvées, the Ariston from Loukas Winery in Megara is an Agiorgitiko-Merlot blend designed for easy, light-hearted drinking — it was on the wine list at a hotel in Crete. Here, 12% alcohol and good fruit come together to make a perfectly passable wine, though it lacks the complexity to score more than a still respectable 80 points.
