Lacules Estate – The Chord 2019
Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Syrah
Peloponnese, Greece
Red | dry

Lacules Estate's The Chord 2019 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, and Syrah from Koroni in Messinia, and it is simply so yummy. Not as dense, of course, as the monovarietal wines from Lacules Estate, but still complex – and so mouthwatering! Aromas of cherry and nougat that will please everyone. Interestingly, the blend composition seems to have evolved over the years; the 2017 vintage, for instance, was reportedly just Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon, whereas the 2019 adds Syrah to the mix. I had tasted this 2019 vintage last year already, and it has improved further significantly over the past twelve months. A delightful, accessible red that now earns 92 points.
