Ktima Pavlidis — Thema weiß 2020

In our opinion, the best wine from the Pavlidis estate in the Drama region. A real quick starter! Unlike the white entry-level wine from Biblia Chora, also a 50:50 blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Assyrtiko but a wine built for the long haul, here the exotic fruit of the former grape variety is present the moment you pop the cork. The tannins derived from it are there too, but perfectly balanced, so that despite all its herbaceousness the wine has an excellent flow on the palate. Aromatically, a still very crisp apricot clearly dominates on the palate. An outstanding wine at 92 points, ideally suited for those summer moments when, after a bike ride with friends, you need a wine that's fully present from the very first second.
