Ktima Pavlidis — Emphasis Syrah 2019

The Emphasis Syrah 2019 from Ktima Pavlidis (PGI Drama) is stylistically quite similar to the Syrah Classic 2020 from Avantis Estate, but benefits from its extra year of maturity. The wine was tasted as part of an extensive tasting of Greek Syrah reds. It is denser and has noticeably more drive than the Avantis. The wine can happily sit for a few more years, but it can just as well be enjoyed right now. Convincing across the board. An excellent 91 points.
