Ktima Kissa – Malagousia 2020

Mavrioros

PGI Corinth
100% Malagousia
Peloponnese, Greece
White | dry
13.5%

In a way, this is the total antithesis of the floral Malagousia from Mylonas Winery: The Malagousia 2020 from Ktima Kissa, PGI Corinth on the Peloponnese, was tasted as part of a large Malagousia comparative tasting and impressed despite a notably high 13.5% alcohol. The acidity builds up in textbook fashion and holds its level. Structurally, the wine is perfectly balanced. On the palate, lime provides freshness. On the nose, the wine is vibrant and complex – almost too dense for concrete descriptors. But this is no jumbled mess. Fruit and florals are simply woven together so tightly that they make the wine sing. In a nutshell: round – with a whole lot of inner structure. A magnificent 93 points and a tremendous sense of individuality!
