Ktima Kir-Yianni — Bidabla 2019

Kir-Yianni's Single Vineyard Bidabla 2019, an 80-20 blend of Xinomavro and Negoska from PDO Goumenissa, ranks among the most elegant Goumenissa wines tasted as part of a comprehensive Xinomavro exploration. The texture is superb, with complex tannins and a captivating interplay between tomato and violet aromas. While the first sip suggests world-class potential, it doesn't quite sustain that level throughout – there's simply too much missing in the mid-palate. Still, for a wine whose first vintage was only produced in 2017, it's remarkably impressive. Notably, it was preferred over both the famous Ramnista and the solid Cuvée Village from PDO Naoussa of the same vintage. 93 points.
