Ktima Kir-Yianni – L'Esprit du Lac 2023

The 2023 L'Esprit du Lac from Kir-Yianni, made from old vines in the PDO Amyndeo, proved to be one of the standout rosés of the year during a systematic Xinomavro exploration. It captivates with vivid lilac aromas and intense strawberry notes on the palate, while its texture weaves crystalline acidity with chalky tannins and just the right touch of sweetness. The long finish completes an impressive overall package. 91+ points. The 2021 vintage of the same wine turned out to be even more convincing (93 points), which once again confirms the mantra: high-quality rosé and white wines are opened far too early in Greek gastronomy.
