Ktima Biblia Chora — Etos Merlot 2006

The single-varietal Etos Merlot 2006 from Ktima Biblia Chora was tasted as part of a vertical alongside the 2012, 2013, and 2014 vintages of Plagios red from the same estate. This superb wine clearly showed the best acidity of the entire lineup and currently sits at 96 points. That said, it has likely reached its peak — in contrast to the Plagios red 2014, which is credited with significantly more aging potential. Unfortunately, this was the last bottle, so the wine can no longer be followed over time.
