Ktima Biblia Chora — Biblia Chora rosé 2021

PGI Pangeon
100% Syrah
Macedonia, Greece
Rosé | dry
13% | Organic

The Biblia Chora Rosé 2021 from Ktima Biblia Chora is a single-varietal Syrah rosé, tasted as part of a larger tasting of Greek Syrah wines. Color-wise, it appears less extracted than, say, the stylistically comparable Kanenas Rosé from Tsantali, which blends Syrah with Mavroudi. On the nose, the wine comes across as very refreshing: sweet strawberry notes are balanced by green apple and never veer into kitsch territory. On the palate, there's pleasant acidity with an invigorating bitter edge. The finish is quite respectable for an entry-level wine — it's just that the overall flavor arc isn't particularly varied. In any case, an excellent wine that deserves 90 points and delivers plenty of fun in summer.
