Efrosini Winery – Kleftis 2021

The Kleftis 2021 from Cretan estate Efrosini combines 60% Assyrtiko with Malvasia as an aromatic blending partner. The floral character comes through nicely, Assyrtiko contributes minerality, and the finish is dynamic with a noticeable 13% alcohol. The somewhat restless finish, however, makes this less of a smooth wine and more of an excitable one. A very good 86 points.
