Always nice to revisit the Microcosmos Malagousia from Domaine Zafeirakis in Tyrnavos, Thessaly. The 2022 vintage is drinking perfectly right now. Zesty nose, abundant lime, herbaceous notes including sage, and a hint of honey, all balanced by good acidity. Subtle yeast undertones add depth. Some saltiness. It may not be the loudest wine, but it is certainly one of the most elegant Greek Malagousias, setting a true benchmark in that regard. A poised, refined expression of the variety that earns 91 points.
