Cantina Crociani's 1990 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva — a blend of 80% Sangiovese (Prugnolo Gentile), 10% Canaiolo Nero, and 10% Mammolo — is a reminder that while Sangiovese doesn't generally age that well, from the outstanding 1990 vintage a Vino Nobile di Montepulciano never disappoints.
