Château Carras — Château Carras 2012

The Château Carras 2012 (PDO Slopes of Meliton, 13.5% vol). The last time I had the 2012 was in November 2024, by the glass at a restaurant in San Diego. It showed a robust tannin structure with insufficient aromatics. Admittedly, the rather poor Greek food at Meze Greek Fusion and the condescending presentation by the sommelier likely played a role as well. If one adds an extra point on that account, I arrive at 91 points. Too few for a wine of this caliber. But I will get hold of another bottle soon and report back here.
